Our Team of Voyageurs!Jay Lundy - Founder
Jay Lundy's background, leading to his founding of Voyageur Adventures, is wide and diverse. His passion and commitment of the last 20 years has been to create powerful learning experiences for corporations under the banner of the Horizon Group, a training and facilitation company which he also founded. Jay has used Voyageur Adventures as a learning laboratory in the study of effective business practices. His goal is to have every program deliver consistently positive results through others. This involves a focus on business systems, performance standards and ongoing training of staff and management In his spare time, Jay pursues five passions: Squash, Cooking, Travel, Music and Reading. As a dedicated Squash player, he can be seen training regularly and on court in local tournaments, usually getting run over by players half his age. His travel tales include sitting with villagers in the Himalayas, dancing in the streets of Brazil during Mardi Gras and enjoying a star-filled sky on a warm, remote beach in Cuba. Having played the harmonica since he was 8, Jay plays Blues in an amateur band. Voyageur songs can always be heard whenever he's involved in a trip. His faithful dog Brody is always by his side.
Mat Neale - Operations Manager
Mat Neale has been working with Voyageur Adventures since 2004. Trained as an outdoor guide, he has worked coast to coast leading everything from white water kayaks to the giant canoe de maitre. His role with Voyageur Adventures is to design corporate and educational programs, handle client care and manage our staff of guides, cooks and presenters. He has an unmatched love for the outdoors and a deep understanding of what our clients want to see in their programs and delivering those promises. Mat has a passion for storytelling, and if there is one thing the Voyageurs loved, it was a good story. In fact, the kids on our educational programs are also enthralled with them! "Leadership is really about being in service to others. To develop leadership in others, you have to be willing to share everything that you know, without condition. The true legacy of a leader is how many others he has given all he has of himself to."
"Fun, Education and Safety delivered with unapologetic leadership."
Elisha Bandel has been a professional canoe and kayak guide for the past four years. After completing the Advanced Wilderness Leadership Program at Capilano College in 2005, he started guiding and teaching outdoor education immediately.
